Agenda Builder

The Agenda Builder functionality is designed to allow you to schedule your sessions in a visual manner using a drag and drop motion.

Getting Started

The Agenda Builder is intended to be used for one conference at a time. Select a conference in the upper right corner of your site before going to Sessions > Agenda Builder.

Schedule Sessions

Drag and Drop Session Video

Drag sessions from the Available Sessions list and drop into your desired date/time on the grid. This will automatically set the date and time on the session record. Drag the top or bottom of session tile to adjust the start and end time.

You can also drag and drop sessions within the grid to move them to a different time.

Available Sessions are defined as sessions that do not have a date or time associated with them. Sessions that do have a date and time assignment will appear in the grid.

Search and Filter

Use the search bar and filters on the top, right side to filter what is shown on the grid AND Available Sessions.

After performing a search or applying filter criteria, additional options will appear above the filters:

  • How many sessions are applicable to your search
  • The ability to show hidden sessions
    • Selecting this will allow you to see all sessions but will grey out sessions not applicable to your search for added context. Ex: If you filter to only see Speaker Conflicts, you may want to still see all sessions so you have context when move the session to resolve the conflict.
  • Clear Filter

Automatic Updates

Click on any session title to open the session edit screen where you can edit any session details.

Updates made to sessions will automatically reflect on the grid, i.e. if you edit categories, after saving the grid will reflect the updated categories for that session.

Conflict Resolution

Conflict Video

Conflicts are displayed on each session title via red icons. The red person icon indicates there is a speaker conflict. The map pin icon indicates there is a room conflict.

If you move a session and that act of dragging and dropping it creates a conflict, you will also receive a red pop up alert in addition to the icons to notify you that you're creating a new conflict. A "Revert" button in this pop up will move the session back to where it was.
