Submission Updates: The below updates to the Submission Module have been made to increase usability and provide a modern interface:

  • Navigation UI: The overall submission interface has received a facelift with updates including:
    • Navigation moved to the left hand side as opposed to horizontally across the screen
    • Modern design and UX best practices
    • Icons to communicate the status of each step

This update is a setting that must be turned on for each site. Please work with your project manager to coordinate the best time to turn this on for your site. It can be turned on in your test environment first.

  • Error Messages and Communication: We have updated the messages and visual prompts the end user receives when navigating through the submission process to better guide them through the UI. This includes:
    • Pop up message to warn when navigating away from a step without saving
    • Pop up message to warn there are mandatory actions not yet completed
    • Outlining required fields in red

This is intended to better communicate the existing logic and workflow. The logic itself behind how steps are saved, how the requirements work, etc have not changed.

This update will be made on all sites automatically upon the release.

  • Category Step UI: The category step has been updated to simplify the process of selecting and deselecting categories including:
    • A single column of check boxes to select and deselect categories (opposed to separate columns to select and deselect)
    • Category tags at the top to see what has been selected without scrolling and to easily deselect.

This update will be made on all sites automatically upon the release.
